Lets try something different for today’s post: What is going on the news that is interesting/funny to me!
I attempt the read the newspaper every day. Primarily I read the newspaper online, but sometimes I am lucky enough to actually read the printed paper at school (we get the Ottawa Citizen on Tuesdays and Thursdays). Mostly I just browse around and see what is out there, clicking on articles that are of interest to me. Somedays I read more than others – but at least I try to read the paper every day 🙂
Stories that perked my interest:
Oh so sad…..
I am pretty sure they have broken up about 50 times over the course of the year – but apparently this time the rumours are true and they are no more. Not predictable at all (cue the sarcasm police)
They chose one for the U.S. and one for Britain. The U.S. word is ‘gif’ (as in the computer image) and for Britain ‘omnishambles’ meaning “a situation that has been comprehensively mismanaged, characterized by a string of blunders and miscalculations”.
Apparently superstorm was almost selected!
Bacon shortage and coffee shortage?!?! OH NO!!!!
Ok, enough kidding. Apparently it is just the wild stuff, and it won’t be extinct until 2080 (I be dead by then). But still – kind of alarming. Imagine the world without coffee? Yikes!
Have a great day everyone!
