Hello? Is anyone still up?
I am – friends who are coming to Ottawa to visit this weekend got stuck in nasty Toronto traffic, so I am still waiting for them to arrive. I am aware that 11:30pm is not *late* for many people, but it is for me! I am literally falling asleep on the couch!
Today I was at workshops all day for the PD Day. They had Kate Davis as the keynote speaker and she was really funny and relatable. Easily the best part of the day.
After PD, I had some time to spare before picking up Max – so I went to Kiwi Kraze, a new frozen yoghurt shop at the Ottawa Trainyards shopping area. I have never been to a self-serve froyo before, so going to Kiwi Kraze was on my “list of things to do”. Kiwi Kraze just opened a few weeks ago. I’m not sure why a frozen treat place would open up in the middle of Ottawa winter, but whatever! There were only a few people in the shop, but it was 3:15 in the afternoon. The person operating the store was really nice and explained the concept to me. I then grabbed a bowl and started mixing flavours. They had all your standard flavours: chocolate, strawberry, raspberry, cake batter (?), etc. I chose chocolate, california tart, kiwi kraze, and raspberry sherbert. Kiwi Kraze was definitely the best. I do like toppings, and there was a good selection. Again, your standard selection from nuts to chocolate chips to candy. I put on my froyo: kiwi, strawberry, oreo cookie and hot fudge! I think Kiwi Kraze will be on my list of places to hit up in the summer for sure!
