There are really no words for what happened today

One moment we were celebrating a colleagues big PB run

The next moment, I was running to the office in a panic to see if anyone had heard from her and her family (they are ok)

My students asked, why would someone do this?

I really have no idea.

I really don’t know what to say. I am still in shock that this happened. My prayers and thoughts go to everyone involved and to the three individuals who lost their lives.

Please wear a race shirt and/or blue and yellow tomorrow in support of Boston – whether you are a runner, volunteer, family member, spectator, official, medical personnel, or the person who picks up all those drink cups – you are part of the running community. Wear a race shirt tomorrow – any will do.

I love the idea of wearing a race shirt! I have to teach and look semi-professional but I can wear it under my clothes. Runners are family.

      Runners are family 🙂

You can wear a blue/yellow outfit too.

What a senseless attack. I can’t even comprehend what those that are affected are going through right now.

I will wear a race shirt tomorrow… and I will run.
Thank God your friend is ok!

I only have colorful shirts and really short hair, but I’m planning on wearing my pink race shirt with a yellow cardigan and a blue hair band. Throwing fashion to the wind today to support a larger cause and my fellow runners. I am so happy to hear that your friend is okay!

Such a sad tragedy. I hope they find the people that did this.
