Ok, so where do I start?!?!
So first off, it took me an hour to get to work this morning! That wasn’t too much out of what I thought, but still. I did chuckle when I saw my friend from my previous school who also has to go to a new school, shaking her head and laughing in the car when she saw the traffic. So that made me late for my meeting (loved the stares by the way). The morning was a bit of a gong show, but that was expected.
The interesting part of the day was when I had to go home less than an hour after school started.
Max had hurt himself at daycare and was now not walking. He was also screaming his face off and rolling around on the floor, very much unlike him. So off to CHEO (Ottawa Children’s hospital) we went. Nothing like making a good start at a new school by having to leave on the first day! Anyhoo – after an X-ray it was discovered that he has a small fracture on his tibia. The type of fracture that he has is basically known as the “toddler fracture” since many toddlers tend to have a break like this if they bend their legs the wrong way. Max is now sporting a nice cast that goes up past his knee. There goes running, playing in the park, slides, splash pads and other fun things for the rest of the summer.
Max is a trooper and so far isn’t too upset. Things like this happen.
