Thing #1 – Busy is everyone’s middle name

We have a big scheduling conflict tonight with P at parent/teacher interviews and I am scheduled to coach. Usually finding a baby sitter is no big deal – we have one main one and several back-ups. But they are all busy. At the last minute (meaning last periods at school) I saw one of my track kids who has watched Max before at meets and asked if she was free – she is! She also lives down the street from our practice facility, so it works out. Max will be at track, but they can be busy doing other things.

Thing #2 – Running, Running, Running and three hits to the hips

Today I am teaching a specialized program and they have gym class every morning. They have really enjoyed running – the lead teacher is a Boston Marathoner – and we went out for a quick run this morning. I did not have my garmin with me – but according to google maps – we ran about 2.4 KM in 11:06. Most of the boys were wearing skateboarding shoes too! Afterwards we played a mean game of Dodgeball. I got three hits square on my right hip that left red welts. The boys thought it was hilarious!

Thing #3 – Hangry

Despite having breakfast, a snack and lunch  (which was pasta) – I am hungry right now. Really hungry. Of course, when one is hungry these kind of things happen to be on your desk:

Ah! Is that P chasing you on the track? Whoever it is, it is really adorable. Pizza is always delicious.

That was Max (P is the hubby :-)) – he was running all on his own – he sees the others running and wants to join in!
