I just got back from track practice – another good night with the team. We have our last big indoor meet of the season this Saturday and this time I do not have to bring Max with me, so I am a bit excited for an afternoon of track meet fun. After this week (and the March Break holiday), we transition into high school season.
Prior to track I managed to get my own workout in, even if it was a small one. I ran two warm-up laps and then ran 4×400 at 1:35 pace. Pretty standard for when I have about 30-40 minutes of time before practice. Nothing new to report really. I find it pretty amusing that I hit 1:35 every.single.time. I run my first 400m. I do not even look at my watch until the finish. Tomorrow I am home early, so I am hoping to get a good run in the afternoon.
I am not happy that it is cold again this week. Not super cold, but cold enough to be annoying. I am really getting sick of this winter as I feel that it has been a brutal one. Not only am I sick of the temperature and the snowy weather, but I am also sick of the following:
– Sorel winter boots
– Salt stains everywhere
– The fact that my car never stays clean – inside and out
– Winter Jackets – so big and bulky
– Not being able to wear capri’s
– Putting a toddler in all his winter gear
– No local farm fruits and veggies
Hurry up Spring! We are waiting!
