Thinking Out Loud Thursday #3

Thursday – YAY!

Although I am not sure why I am yaying since today is going to be a long day with work, then a run, followed by night class. I would rather be at track….

Linking with Amanda at Running with Spoons for another Thinking Out Loud Thursday

No Watch, No GPS Run

I finish work today at 3:30 and should be able to get downtown for 4pm. Class starts at 5:30, so I am planning on running the canal path before that. The rain should be lighter by then, but I have my rain jacket just in case. My Garmin has been acting funny again. Last night it said I had 80% battery left, and today when I went to put it in my bag, it was dead. I didn’t bother brining it. Since it is warmer today, I will be wearing pants that do not have a pocket for my iPhone, so I cannot use my Nike+ app either. So, I may just go out for a naked run instead! I can figure out distance later, but really I just need to run today. I took a few days off because my shins were bugging me (time for new shoes!).

Vega

Since I am a Sweat Pink Ambassador, I was given some Vega, pre-workout drinks to try. I will be trying one before my run this afternoon. The drinks are supposed to help keep you alert – we shall see if that happens!

Brinner

I really do not like breakfast foods that much. I like waffles and sometimes eggs/bacon but I am more of a lunch/dinner person. Many people out there love breakfast for dinner – also known as brinner. I am not a fan. I would rather have pizza. But on Sunday I did not really feel like cooking much for dinner (and I didn’t really have any good on hand) so I made myself some eggs and toast – Brinner!! Hell has frozen over

Grey’s Anatomy

Another big episode tonight for Grey’s Anatomy. A former character is returning tonight for one episode. I *may* be racing home from night class to make sure I do not miss the episode. I am hoping that the writer’s don’t disappoint!

Weather

Screen Shot 2014-05-01 at 1.09.25 PM

We are in the middle of a rainy week here in Ottawa. It was pouring buckets yesterday and today it was raining in the morning. It looks like this rainy weather is going to stick with us for a couple of days longer. I swear this half marathon training cycle has been the worst for weather. We are less than a month away and I feel like I’ve only had a handful of runs in nice springtime weather. Although it is currently kind of warm out, it is still damp. Another wet run is on the schedule today. Luckily I brought extra socks…

Max the hairdresser

Max primarily plays with girls. So every once and awhile he does something that is traditionally labelled as “girly”. Last night he found a small spoon and announced to the world “SPOON!!”. I was sitting on the car playmat and he went behind me, sat on the couch and stated that he wanted to “do Mom hairs”. He sat there using the spoons as a brush and ‘styling’ my hair. He jumps off the couch going “wait!”, digs into his toy chest and grabs this infant cube toy that has a mirror on it. He gives me the mirror/cube to hold and says “look – pretty!”. LOL

Alright – time to roll out! Have a great Thursday!

You may be one of the only people I’ve ever met to admit they don’t like breakfast foods. I’m the complete opposite — not a fan of lunch and dinner at all — so any day where I can enjoy breakfast more than once is a good day indeed 😀

    Happy Thursday!

    Awww cute Max!!!

I like breakfast food but usually just at breakfast! I think Audrey would like brinner!!

My Garmin used to pull crap like that. I need to pull mine out and charge it. Maybe a few months break has been good for it!

Even though it may be rainy, I’m jealous of your warmer temperatures!! It’s still cold and yucky here in NL. Ugh.
