I haven’t posted much about Max these day – most of what he does is the same thing every week, so I don’t feel like I need to tell the world that once again we went to the “Dinosaur’s House” on the weekend. Unless you really want to know that sort of thing, because really, who doesn’t love the Museum of Nature?
Max is talking a lot more than he used to. Although he hit all the other milestones (especially physical ones) early, he has always lagged behind in talking. We have notice more of a jump in the last couple of months. He still babbles and sometimes makes up his own words, but we can pretty much understand what he is saying. He gets quite frustrated when he is telling me something and I don’t understand what he is talking about. The other night he was wanting to watch “Rock Soup” and I was all confused. Turns how that he wanted to watch the “Rocket Soup” episode on Little Einsteins. Like I know the episodes off by heart…
A few sentences that he has come up with:
“Max wants to go doctor so he will feel better” – the other night when he wasn’t feeling too good
“Ok Mommy, let’s have a talk” – am I in trouble? Shoot.
“Mommy, look at me! Look at the monkey” – every day at the playground as he swings from one of the poles
“Hurry up! Run faster!” – as he goes down the street on his little push bike. I have no idea where he got that from….
“I want popcorn” – first words out of his mouth when he woke up yesterday
“OHH HELLO – Oh, you’re cute, hello little bug” – How Max talks to wasps that land on his hand
Oh and Max thinks he can speak whale.
