ABC’s

Happy Monday!

Reminder about the Giveaway for a free Night Race entry to an event of your choice (Toronto, Montreal, Edmonton and Vancouver) – seriously, who doesn’t love a free race?

I’m seen this style of blog post on several blogs lately, so I figured I would join in on the ABC party.

A – Age: 32 – I’m regularly ID’d and sometimes people laugh when they see how old I am.

B – Biggest Fear: Death I think – or bees…..

C – Current Time: 10:32am EST

D – Drink You Had Last: I am drinking a large cup of coffee as I type

E – Easiest Person to Talk To: Not sure….either P or Max I guess.

F – Favourite Song: The Celestials by Smashing Pumpkins. I like many Smashing Pumpkins songs though – I’ve been a fan of the band for 20 years!

G – Grossest Memory: Puke always rules – it either has to be when Max threw up an entire pizza on my lap as I was sitting on the couch. I was home alone and had puke soup on my pants. I got up and it just went everywhere. So gross.

Another gross puke memory is when my university roommate thought the sink was the toilet and puked everywhere and left it there overnight…..

H – Hometown: Mississauga, Ontario!

I – In Love With: Max, he is a pretty cool dude.

J – Jealous Of:  anyone who ran SeaWheeze – looked like so much fun

K – Kindest Person You Know:  hmmmm. Maybe some of the track parents. They are always so nice. Or school secretaries….

L – Longest Relationship: 7 years and going

M – Middle Name: Helen-Marie

N – Number of Siblings: I have a younger brother

O – One Wish: To work full time again….seriously.

P – Person You Spoke to on the Phone Last: My neighbour. Max had a bad fall off the couch and his swelling got so bad that I took him to CHEO (Kid’s hospital). They knew I was taking him and called to offer help. They were even checking to see if my car was back to make sure Max was ok.

Q – Question You’re Always Asked: “You are contract now right? You’re not? Seriously?” relates to teaching and not being permanent yet. Tied with “when are you having another kid”. Actually usually those questions get asked at the same time…..

R – Reason to Smile: My leg feels good today and school break is almost over which means soon I will have $$ again.

S – Song You Last Sang: The Little Einsteins theme song…..

T – Time You Woke Up: 9:30am! A new record! Max didn’t go to bed until 11pm, so he slept in a bit.

U – Underwear Color: Purple!

V – Vacation Destination: Anywhere but here.

W – Worst Habit: Leaving jars half open and leaving my socks and assorted running gear everywhere.

X – X-Rays You’ve Had: Not too many. Dental obviously – plus another one on my head when a kid threw a rock at my head when I was little and all the fun with my leg last year.

Y – Your Favourite Food: oh gosh – I don’t know. French fries, chinese food, pizza, perogies, fresh strawberries, burgers.

Z – Zodiac Sign: Capricorn!

Have a great Monday!

I am afraid of puke and diaper blow-outs. Do you ever get used to it or does it get easier to deal with over time? I had a friend throw up once while we were on one of the rides at the county fair – that was horrible.

The Seawheeze is definitely on my list!

I can’t remember the last time I slept in until 9:30am. However these days, sleeping in is pretty much impossible.

Infant puke/spit up is no big deal and it happens all the time. Max loved to spit up. Sometimes it was so much but it wasn’t that bad. Once he started eating solids – yikes. Lucky for me, I can count on one hand how many times Max has puked. But those times were epic, especially when he puked apple juice and timbits (donut holes) in a very expensive rental truck in the middle of no where.

Diaper blow outs didn’t happen that much. I used cloth for the first year so I did have to wash the covers. Didn’t bug me too much. When Max has pooped himself as a bigger kid = yuck, but again doesn’t happen too often.
