Another Thinking Out Loud Thursday – linking up with Amanda at Running with Spoons.
#1 Loving the Brooks Glycerins!
I was given a pair of Brooks Glycerins to try out – I will be posting a full review of the shoe next week, but I do have to say that I love the shoes! I did use the Brooks shoe finder on their website to see what Brooks shoes I should try and the Glycerins were the suggested pair. I’ve worn them for all my shorter runs and even though the Glycerins are a neutral shoe – they are working for me. They might be my go-to shoe….
#2 Limiting the STWM website time.
We are just over a week away from STWM weekend. Of course, like many STWM runners – I’ve been cruising the STWM website all day, every day. I pretty much know the entire route, yet still I keep staring at the map. I may have even watched the 2014 STWM broadcast again yesterday. I think everyone is getting a bit excited about the weekend. Many people are chatting about STWM and making plans. I think I have a good idea of what I will be doing that weekend and my post next Tuesday will detail my plans. If anyone wants to join me on Saturday for some Expo fun – let me know! Anyways – just way too much time on the STWM website and chatting to my STWM friends.
One thing I’m not looking forward to is my drive to Toronto on Thursday. I’m 30 minutes from home and have to go all the way home to pick up Max/P before going all the way back through Ottawa. The drive will probably be very, very long….yay.
Who doesn’t love random birthday cake? I wish there was cake in the staff room every day.
#4 Super Long Weekend!
It is the Thanksgiving long weekend here in Canada. Not only do we have Monday off, but tomorrow is a PD Day. Despite what the media/public thinks – we actually go to work on PD Days. Tomorrow we have epi-pen training, a staff meeting, department meetings and who knows what else. It is a bit more relaxing though. I heard from my California friends that they get a week off for American Thanksgiving – is that true??
#5 Cute Toddlers
Max goes to a pre-school daycare. But in that daycare there is a toddler room as well. The minimum age to enter the daycare is 18 months (kind of standard for the centre-daycares) and those little toddlers are cute. I drop Max off at snack time and I pass the window where the toddlers are eating. They are in their little chairs eating and staring at me.
However – Max does not think they are cute at all. The other day, we were at a store and Max decides to yell “I HATE babies!”. I asked why, and he said because they pee and poo…..alrighty then.
I think that someone in his group has a baby brother or sister and Mr. Repeat everything decided to repeat what one of his friends said. The things they learn at school…..
Alright – time to work! Have a nice day!
