Thinking Out Loud Thursday #66

Happy Thursday!

Another Thinking Out Loud Thursday – linking up with Amanda at Running with Spoons

#1 Another busy week

I officially switched schools yesterday. Yesterday was a bit busy getting class lists, keys, meeting people and that sort of thing. I even had to plan a geography lesson in about 20 minutes because I had no idea where the class was at until the morning. I work at two different schools – but I only go to one school every other day. Although I will probably be going to my PM school every day if I get supply work. Luckily, both schools are fairly close to each other. Today I am only at my AM school, but I do have to head back to the old school to start/finish my report cards because I’m locked out of the system. I also finish work closer to home and finish a bit earlier – which means afternoon runs will be returning! My PM school is beyond the “heavy traffic zone” that I had to deal with previously and it only takes me 10 minutes to get home, not 30+. I went for a 3K run after work yesterday.

#2 Starbucks

There is a Starbucks down the street from my AM school – hooray!

Speaking of Starbucks – their holiday gift collection of mugs are really nice this year. I saw this one the other day and couldn’t resist buying it, especially since I’ve started teaching geography again:

#3 Back to the Dome

I’ve been MIA at track for the past couple of weeks due to work trips + parent teacher interviews. I’m back at the track tonight – but now back at the dome. Although I don’t like the crazy amount of people on the track at the dome, I do like being really close to home (I live 10 minutes away) – the dome is even closer to my PM school which will be nice. I’m looking forward to getting some speed work in soon!

#4 2016 Races

Looking ahead a bit to 2016 races: I’m trying to mix things up a bit this year. STWM and Ottawa Race Weekend are already on the race calendar/registered for. I am thinking that I will not be going to Around the Bay’s 5K this year. I am pretty sure I will be racing MEC Race #1 in January as the cold brings an extra challenge. Also new to the racing calendar will be the Diefenbooker run (either 5K or 10K). Unfortunately, I do think that the Manotick Miler is out for me this year mostly due to scheduling issues. They changed from an April run to a May one and that Sunday is pretty busy already. BUT – since it does occur on a different weekend, it opens to the door to a few April 5K’s that I haven’t been able to do. Decisions!

Alrighty – that is all I have time for today. Have a great Thursday!

I found it the day before I started the new gig so it was definitely very fitting

The holiday mugs from Bux are SO cute. I can’t even tell you how tempted I am to pick one up every time I’m in there waiting for my coffee, and I think the only thing that keeps me from doing it is that I can’t choose the one I want 😛

Excellent mug choice! My Starbucks got EVERY cup offered with this seasons collection (some stores only get partial offerings) and this was one of my favorites!

This one is definitely my fave – but there are so many other nice ones that I want too!
