Thinking Out Loud Thursday #80

THURSDAY!

A different Thursday since it is “Monday” at my schools since we had a holiday and two bus cancellation days. The students think its great fun. Another Thinking Out Loud Thursday, linking up with Amanda at Running with Spoons.

#1 – Running next week?

I am hopeful that I will be able to resume running next week. My leg has been cooperating, so I feel like next week might be the time to start sloooooow running again. I have a physio appointment after work today. I’m starting to get a little antsy for some running action. Although the sidewalks are an absolute mess right now 🙁

#2 – Can’t believe I asked that.

So, you may (or may not) know that my family and I are big fans of Bryan Baeumler and his series of shows. Our PVR is filled with House of Bryan and Leave it to Bryan. I mentioned a few weeks ago that we went to see Bryan at an Ottawa Home and Reno show. During his talk, he mentioned that an episode of Leave it to Bryan would have something hilarious in it and we would know exactly what he was talking about when it aired. He mentioned on Twitter on Monday night that this week’s episode was “the one to watch”. We did our usual snack and watch LITB. While watching, P said for the 100000x, “I really like Bryan’s toolbelt, ask him where he got it from”. So, I went on twitter and told Bryan “My husband wants me to buy him your tool belt”. He replied almost right away with the brand name. Not two minutes later “the scene” happened. Bryan was renovating a basement of an artist (who was a bit eccentric) and as a “gift”, she painted Bryan’s portrait.

He was wearing nothing except that tool belt (covering his area) and socks.

Hilarious!

#3 Ottawa Radio Host 🙁

Yesterday after his morning show, Mark Sutcliffe announced on Twitter that he was told that he was no longer employed by CFRA 580 news. Mark is a radio host, but he is also very well known as a runner. He has written a few books including, Why I Run and Canada’s Magnificent Marathon. He also founded iRun magazine. He both ran NYC 2014 and when NYC 2015 was happening we reminisced via Twitter about the weather we encountered that day.  I’ve been listening to his morning show for a couple of months now and very disappointed that they removed him the morning show.

#4 Birthday Cake Timbits

In celebration of another bus cancellation day, I purchased some birthday cake timbits from Tim Hortons yesterday. Apparently I was *so excited* about birthday cake timbits that I promptly dropped my debit card in the snow covered parking lot, which shares a parking lot with my bank. Thankfully someone picked it up and the bank phoned me to say that they had it. I’m always losing things!

#5 Where did my view go?

Usually this happens for most of the winter, but the 50cm snow fall caused my office view to be obstructed. Please melt soon!

That’s all I have for today!

I also LOVE Bryan Baeumler! I think he and Sarah have such a great marriage.
I hope your leg – and the snow – cooperates so you can get back to running soon 🙂

Oh my, I used to go to college in Upstate NY as well as work there afterwords. Tim Horton’s Timbits are one of my favorite treats.
