Another Thinking out Loud Thursday. Linking up with Amanda at Running with Spoons.
#1 Stupid GI system bug
I’ve been feeling off since the weekend. Although I am able to function normally, even workout – my GI system is still dealing with whatever bug I picked up at the pre-school. They almost had to shut down the toddler room because of this bug and it is making the circles with the preschool kids now too. Max has already had it, P also seems to have a touch of it – but me, it has been the worst. Sunday, I was on the couch or in bed the entire day. Now, it is either like I don’t feel like eating or I do eat and then a little bit later, things happen (tmi, I know). I’ve barely eaten anything over the past few days. Sometimes I feel like eating and sometimes I don’t. Right now, I just want a hamburger (it is 8:30am….). I’ve had just about enough of this bug. Go away!
#2 Stupid leg
My leg has also been ‘meh’ like lately too. Might just be because of physio, but I’m not sure. It doesn’t hurt when I run, although sometimes it tightens a bit. At physio we double checked that the post tib wasn’t angry but moving my foot to different positions and doing a strength test. Everyone from the physio, to the sports doc, to the neurologist have tried to get it angry and it just doesn’t seem to be the muscles that are the problem. Even my arch on my left food is dramatically better – I actually have an arch! I’m thinking that I might call up the sports doc again and go in again. Maybe there is another imaging test we can order? #allthetests
#3 Is winter gone?
I sure hope so! This week, the temperatures are all above 0C. Yesterday was the first run since Christmas eve where I did not run in tights. I had capris on and it felt amazing. Amazing even though I ran in the pouring rain and was completely soaked by the end of the run. Friday and Saturday are looking beautiful. I’ve already switched back to my spring jacket collection and looking forward to giving my car a much needed cleaning. This year’s winter didn’t seem so bad, so I’m hoping that the annual wash of the salt stains in my car will be much easier. Is it just me, or is a freshly washed, vacumed and dusted car very satisfying?
Or at least until my child gets back into the car…..
#4 Speaking of the child
Max went with me to the Ottawa marathon water station captains meeting the other night. They had pizza available and Max had two whole slices, plus some Reese PB stick thing. Then, we get home and he immediately demands “dinner” because pizza was “just a snack”. I should just start saving for his teenage eating years right?
#5 Will it face swap?
If you have Snapchat, you probably are fully aware of the Face Swap feature. Face swapping with a person is pretty cool, yet creepy. But the other thing to do is to play the “will it face swap” game with random objects. Too much fun. The Sheldon face swap makes me laugh every.single.time. I am not even making that silly face, but somehow that is what the app does.
Alrighty – have a great day!
