Apparently I have not written since the 1st, opps! It has been a busy few days. I’ve been working steadily on the kitchen reno. The cabinets should be finished by tomorrow night. Could have been done today, but installing the doors is a two person job and I have orchestra tonight. This weekend we went out to dinner on Saturday, Sunday and Monday! Saturday was Clocktower with Friend #1, Sunday was our anniversary and we went out for Indian food (Ottawa NEEDS better Indian food!) and Sunday Friend #2 was in town, so we went to The Works, which is a great burger joint.
On Friday we actually made dinner, which was steak and veggies. After we had to go to Lee Valley Tools which is all the way on the other side of the city, but conveniently located near the Ikea. My hope was to get some yummy cinnamon rolls to eat while watching a movie at home. Of course it is the long weekend before school starts and the food line was massive. We headed back to Orleans and went to the mall as Paul needed to get his haircut. While getting his haircut I picked up a Cinnabon cinnamon roll and a cheesecake. The cheesecake was a steal because one of my students worked at the counter and gave me a sweet discount. So we went home to watch Barney’s Version (which btw should have some sort of mention of Alzheimer’s on the flippin box). I proceeded to eat: Tortilla chips with guacamole and salsa made by me, the cinnamon roll and the cheesecake. YUM!
